Deep Blue Monolith is kilnformed glass art inspired by the Memphis Design Style movement in Milan in the 1980s. Pieces of sheet glass are cut in a way to fit together and create a wonderful abstract landscape. The pieces are fired in an electric kiln to fuse them. The fused glass object is then coldworked, sandblasted, and slumped to a soft matte finish.
