Spaceship Control is kilnformed glass art inspired by what the controls of my spaceship would be while I adventure through space and time.Pieces of colored sheet glass are intricately cut and assembled in an electric kiln and then fired to 1500 degrees. The fused glass art plate is then coldworked, sandblasted, and slumped for a soft matte finish. My intent with this body of work is to create something that resembles an ink drawing more than kilnformed glass while also having a distinct 3-dimensional shape for display on your tabletop or mantle.
